Methodology, published

Authority Score = 0.40 × Domain Rating + 0.35 × Traffic Index + 0.25 × Link Index, where Traffic Index = min(100, 16.7 × log₁₀(organic traffic + 1)) and Link Index = min(100, 25 × log₁₀(referring domains + 1)). Logarithmic scales, because a site with 10× the traffic is not 10× more visible to a buyer.

Tiers: Leader 85+, Challenger 70–84, Contender below 70. Press momentum counts tracked tier-1 coverage events over the trailing 90 days from the GFD Press Tracker. AI citations will measure presence in answer-engine responses to category queries; it joins the composite in July 2026.
