The company

Platformization, then AI: the consolidator's playbook.

Founded in 2005 by Nir Zuk and headquartered in Santa Clara, Palo Alto Networks built from next-gen firewall into the broadest platform in security. Under chairman and CEO Nikesh Arora (since 2018), the company executed the industry’s most-watched platformization strategy, and in fiscal Q3 2026 reported revenue of $3.0 billion, up 31%.

The 2026 narrative is AI on both sides of the fight: Arora told CNBC that customer meeting requests surged amid AI security concerns, and put the thesis in five words on Cramer: “We must fight AI with AI.” He even jabbed at CrowdStrike along the way: “We’re still slightly bigger.” The competitive theater is part of the GTM, and it works.

The GFD read: DR 88, 1.19M monthly organic visits, 38K referring domains, and 3 tracked tier-1 coverage events in 10 days. This is what the summit looks like: the question for everyone else on the table is which citations PANW doesn’t own yet.
